The Byron Bay Triathlon event produced a fitting end to a North Coast Inter-club season that has had more twists and turns than an episode of Game of Thrones. Hat Head Triathlon Club entered the final round on top of the ladder. Coffs Harbour Triathlon Club one point a drift with the Clarence Valley Triathlon Club just three and a half points behind. In the shake up, it came down to just 1/2 a point and we congratulate the Coffs Harbour Triathlon Club who will be elated as they take home the first piece of silverware and the title of North Coast Interclub Champions.

However, it's the two newest clubs in the region that round out the podium, and the Hat Head Triathlon Club coming second will leave them proud, but bitterly disappointed along with Byron Tri Club who just snuck in for third. Still both clubs, their members and committees should hold their head high after being so successful against larger and more established clubs.
